A private clinical and operational platform for the daily work of SOZO Brain Center practices. It brings patient workflows, documents, appointments, services, invoices and specialist settlement routines into one responsive workspace.

Architecture
BrainOffice uses an ASP.NET Core application with PostgreSQL for structured practice data. Role-aware workflows keep operational, clinical and billing responsibilities distinct.
Patient folders are retained on practice-controlled, encrypted Synology storage where configured. Files are not exposed as public NAS links; access is requested through the authenticated application context.
Authenticated, approved devices can use the practice workspace from iPhone, iPad and desktop systems. The public website is separate from the patient application and provides no patient-data access.
Practice operations
Patient workflow Patient dashboards, diagnoses, prescriptions, referrals, documents and PDF-based communication are managed in context.
Billing workflow Service capture, invoice creation, payment reconciliation, reminders and invoice history are designed for rapid day-to-day handling.
SOZO settlement The platform includes the foundations for practice-specific commission, service and settlement reports, with separate responsibilities for clinicians, staff and administration.
Multi-practice operation Voecklabruck and Vienna can operate as separate locations with defined data scope, practice headers, workflows and financial contexts.
Calendar and patient preparation
Demo environments can present prepared appointments in both daily and weekly views. Focused calendar lists can be generated and printed for a selected period, practitioner, location or appointment type.
When a booking is prepared, the practice can queue appointment reminders and diagnosis-specific information files for the patient. The exact send plan remains visible and controllable in the patient and appointment context.
For defined care paths, such as MS or Parkinson care, the practice can prepare relevant score questionnaires and information material before the visit, so patients arrive with the appropriate material ready to complete.
Integration for a patient signature display is being prepared. It will support guided review and signing of treatment, publication and study agreements, with the signed result retained in the patient record.

Engineering approach
SOZO BrainOffice is developed with OpenAI Codex as an engineering assistant. It supports rapid implementation, structured code navigation, repeatable checks and focused technical review under practice-led direction.
A dedicated PostgreSQL watchdog checks the production database every minute. If the existing database process is unavailable, it starts the established cluster and records the recovery event without changing patient data.
A second mini-PC server is planned as the next resilience step. It will require separate backups, tested replication and a documented failover procedure before it can be described as active redundancy.
Security and compliance status
BrainOffice is built with encrypted practice storage, HTTPS-protected services, access control, audit-oriented workflows, separate clinic contexts and controlled remote access. No software system can honestly promise absolute security.
The complete implementation and documentation required for all Austrian and European medical-practice data-protection obligations is not yet finished. This work is actively being completed over the coming weeks before broader use is considered.
